Ok Mommiy's here is a fun little story that might make you laugh, I can now laugh at it. I have been keeping Olivia on her schedule with baby sitters so when I go back to work it won't be a huge change for her. So Wednesday I had both kids at home by myself for the first time.
It was going great we got up and watched some cartoons. Olivia got a little breakfast while I fed the little man and then she sat quietly in the living room playing Barney on my phone until I was finished in the shower. I was even able to do my hair, get dressed, put makeup on all without a peep from Olivia. So I decided to take them both and run to Target for a quick diaper pickup and then to Hobby Lobby to get a few things for Olivia's birthday party.
We got there and I put Benjamin in the baby bjorn and Olivia nicely walked from the parking lot into Target holding my hand. Yup and then it went down hill, I went to put her in the cart and there it was every Mom's nightmare (at least mine). She threw a temper tantrum in the front of Target, laying on the ground screaming and crying. All because she wanted to walk. I just didn't have enough hands for this! So 5 minutes after walking in we were finally making our way towards the diapers, me pushing the cart, holding her hand, and her crying at the top of her lungs.
Yes, she cried like this almost the whole time. As we made our way quietly to the check out I had forgotten the cute little toys they keep at the checkout line. There she was pulling the little Barbie's off and picking out which one she wanted and then the little Barbie phones that were next to them. I asked her to put them away several times, I put them back several times, and then I had a stroke of genius. I told her to give them to the lady, put her in the cart while we were being checked out, and gave the lady a sign that I would not be purchasing those toys. She still hasn't realized that I didn't buy them.
By the time we got home it was lunch time followed by nap time. It took me an hour to get her to sleep! But once she was out, Benjamin fell asleep to. It was the best hour I have ever had! The rest of the went ok, not smoothly but better then my Target trip. Needless to say I was thrilled when Ben walked in the door that evening.

23 Months {Olivia}
I know I start a lot of these monthly posts the same way, but I honestly can't believe that I am the mother of an almost 2 year old. Next month we will be celebrating her 2nd birthday...WOW!
This past month has been huge for her. She became a BIG SISTER and she is certainly taking her new job very seriously. She helps us with everything like feeding, diaper changes, and burping the little man. She always likes to check him out to make sure that he is ok and if he is awake she lets us know. When he cries she will tell us so that we can make sure he is ok. Olivia always wants to hold him, even though it may only last a few minutes.
Words have become 3-4 word sentences now. It's amazing that she can hold a small conversation with us now.
Olivia celebrated her 2nd Easter and enjoyed it so much more this year. We started the day with an Easter Egg hunt with the Coccagna family. She found all the eggs in the front yard and then wanted to find them again. After that she opened her Easter basket that the Easter Bunny brought her. She got some new outfits, a bathing suit and cover up, books, and so much more. The only thing she didn't get was candy, I am holding off on that as long as we can. We enjoyed a beautiful brunch with everyone after that at the Cheesecake Factory. Then it was time to head to the Morse home for some family time. Olivia got to dye Easter eggs and this year there was no throwing just putting them in the cup. She had another Easter egg hunt, next year she will be a pro, then we opened the Easter baskets that the bunny left there. Then it was off to a nice dinner at Bravo before heading home for the night.

1 Month {Benjamin}
Stats:
Weight: 11lbs. 7ozs. 83rd Percentile
Olivia calls my boobs, "working boobs" now. They sure keep up their name, Benjmain nurses almost every 3 hours during the day. The good thing is that he sleeps great at night, he goes down between 8-9 PM, wakes for a feeding between 2-3 AM, and then again around 6-7. Although last night he slept from 9 PM to 5:30 AM, amazing. Pretty much all he does is eat, sleep, and make dirty diapers. Each day he is awake a little more during the day and we are on a pretty good routine. After he wakes between 7:30 and 8:30 AM he is usually awake until his next feeding and then takes a nap until lunch, and then he is awake from then until the next feeding. He will nap from then until about 6-7 PM when we have bath time followed by dinner and rest until he falls asleep for the night.
He works really hard at holding up his head, each day it gets a little bit longer. He loves the view he gets when he can see everything from a normal perspective. He like Olivia isn't crazy about tummy time yet, hopefully that will change soon.
He is in size 1 diapers and pretty much came home from the hospital in them, thankfully we were able to use one package of newborns that we already had open at home before we could no longer get away with them. He is also comfortably fitting 3 month size clothing. He only had a small amount of newborn clothes and was able to wear every one at least once.
He has had a lot of firsts in this first month of life as well:

Family Fun Day {OSC}
The week before Ben went back to work we decided to take the kids to the Orlando Science Center for a few hours. Olivia loved every minute and can't wait to go back. We checked out almost every exhibit they had and I think her favorite was the alligators, she even got to feed them.
Here are some photos from our day.

Family Fun Day
Last week Ben and I took the kiddos for a fun day at Gatorland. Olivia was so excited about getting to see the alligators and to touch them. We packed up and took the 40 minute drive out to Kissimmee. We expected it to be pretty dead but were surprise to pull up and see a line of people waiting to get in.
It was so fun to watch Olivia rub from one exhibit to another checking out the alligators and snakes. We fed the gators and the flamingos, then watched the crocodiles jump for chicken. That was pretty lame from what Ben said. I couldn't see from where I was sitting feeding Benjamin.
The weather was beautiful so we stayed for a few hours and then headed back home. Olivia was sound asleep within 15 minutes of leaving.
