10 Weeks

30 Weeks to go! Gosh that seems like such a long time, but I know from experience that it goes by in the flash of an eye.
10 Weeks
I started off week 10 with a visit to Dr. P and what a visit it turned out to be. Peed in a cup and got weighed, tried to get them to use the weight that I got at home with no clothes on (didn't work out but at least it made the nurse laugh). Dr. P came in and tried to check the heartbeat but since it's so early he said he may not be able to hear it and he was right. So after my 'smear' I got a special little treat, they brought in the small sonogram machine so we could see the heartbeat.

Yea, I got to see the little peanut. At this stage it looks like an alien with the shape of the face but Dr. P said it kinda reminds him of a teddy bear because they have a round little tummy and tiny arm and leg buds beginning to develop. I didn't get a picture to bring home but I have one of Olivia from her 11 week sonogram that looks identical.

According to my iPhone app The baby is the size of a prune (about an inch and a half long) and bones and cartilage are forming this week. Along with that the teeth buds are forming and elbows, ankles, and knees. Wow!!! So much going on in there, which must be why I have been feeling so horrible lately. I surely feel worse then I did with Olivia.

Olivia at 11 Weeks. The new baby looked the same. So cute!
Next appointment will be September 26 and should be a quick in and out appointment. But at this one I should be scheduled for our Gender Sonogram.

Happy Birthday Daddy

All my dreams came true when Ben came into my life and yesterday we celebrated his birthday.

He certainly is the most caring and loving man anyone could ask to have been brought into their life.

Sharing the News

We chose to wait to tell our families until we were almost 10 weeks (like we did with Olivia) and holding in this secret has been so hard. I just wanted to tell everyone! We tried to make it to the end of the month to share the news as birthday gifts but didn't quite make it for Ben's parent's.

Wednesday night August 17, we headed over to their house to help out with the new bar and to get something to eat. Olivia was having some issues so we just ordered in and hung out at the house. After we ate we were just hanging out in the living room and I kept giving Ben the eye so he would just tell them, but he likes to drag things out to the last minute. Finally after what felt like forever he said, "Olivia is going to be a big sister." Darla was in a little shock and asked him what he said. After she figured out what he was telling them they were excited about having another grandchild coming into the world.

That Saturday we ended up going to dinner with the whole Morse clan and decided that since Julie was home that we should share the news with them as well. We headed out to Dave and Busters and oh my gosh was this place a mad house. But Vicky managed to snag us some tables in the bar area so we would not have to wait the 2 to 2 1/2 hours for a table. I eagerly awaited Ben to share the news with his family and of course in Ben fashion he waited and waited and waited. Until the end of the meal when it looked like we were going to lose our audience to the bright lights of the gaming area. He finally told them, "You are going to be Aunt's and Uncle's again." More excitement and questions, then it was off to play some games. Which Olivia loved!!!

The next day we were celebrating my Dad and Grandmother's birthday's and what better gift then to find out that you are getting another grandchild! So we had planned to have brunch at Brio's before Jamie had to head into work. Loaded up with gifts we headed into Millenia to meet the family. Pretty much after we sat down I handed out the gift bags because unlike Ben I am not one to wait for anything. My grandmother opened her gift and looked at the picture frame (which had some writings about grandchildREN on it with a picture of the sonogram in it.) and after a second just looked at us and said, "When?"

I am not sure that my Dad had even realized what the frame and picture were before he heard that. But he looked at Olivia and asked her if she was going to be a big sister? They were all thrilled at the news of a new little one. The frame sat on the table beside Olivia throughout our entire brunch. Just the beginning of a now party of 9!

We have spent the last week trying to call as many of our closest family and friends to tell them the news. And each person that we talked to was so excited. I'm sure many of you think we are crazy to have another so soon, but that's OK we love adventure. Which I am sure is what the next few years is going to be! We live on the edge what can I say!

Thank you to all of our family and friends for all of your love and support, for which we could not do this without! Hugs and Kisses to all of you!!!

We Are Expanding Our Home By 2 Feet

Yup, that's right our little family is growing by 2 more little tiny feet. Ben and I are expecting baby number 2 the end of March.

Olivia is going to be a BIG SISTER!

I found out while I was on our Girl's Getaway that I indeed was pregnant so yes, Kristen was the first to find out. Sunday I was anxious to get home to share the big news with Ben. I decided to take a picture of me and put the words Baby on my belly with the due date below. I made a few stops on the way to purchase a Big Sister shirt for Olivia and an album to put the picture in (along with baby pics of Olivia with her Daddy). Once I was settled in I called Ben into the bedroom and told him that Olivia had a present for him and she gave him the book and together they looked at all the pictures. When he came to the last photo it took him a minute to realize exactly what it meant but he was very excited.

Week 5 Day 2:
A big welcome back to my long lost friend morning sickness and by friend I mean enemy, nemesis, etc. I have been told that every pregnancy is different and I sure was hoping that part would be different as in nonexistent. Unfortunately it hit hard on Tuesday (4 days after I found out that I was pregnant). The only good thing is that it generally means that all is well in baby land. I just hope that it doesn't last the 6 month's that it did the first time.

Week 6:
First Doctor's appointment, well hello Dr. P we have missed you! By the way we LOVE our doctor and even more now that he said he only has my weight gain as 29 pounds with Olivia!! Whoop Whoop. I had myself at 45 pounds, now I have to say that I was already 8 weeks along when I saw him and I was at my skinniest because of the wedding. Either way I'll take it.

It was pretty normal pee'd in a cup, he went over the do's and don'ts set up all my next appointments and I was on my way.

Can we say bloated? Trust me I am (was not) that big!

Week 7: Not a great week, it started out with poor weather and me feeling pretty horrible as well. I have been feeling quite light headed and super nauseous. Thanks to my dear friend Elizabeth I tried a new solution to the morning (anytime all the time) sickness, Sea Bands. They are little wrist sweaters as I like to call them, with pieces that press on some pressure point. It actually works to an extent, meaning I still feel nauseous but not as bad as it is without them.

Week 8: Monday we were off for our first visit with the baby. We were so excited and even got to take Olivia with us. She sat in Daddy's lap just watching the screen obviously not having a clue what the blob up there is. But it was still cute to watch her. This week I will say that my bottoms are getting a little on the tight side, I guess it is time to break out the belly band. (It was amazing during the first pregnancy and I am sure I will love it just as much this time.)

Surely not the greatest picture but, meet our newest little Peanut!

15 Month's

Height: 27 1/2 Inches
Weight: 18 Pounds
1st Percentile for both

Today we headed to the doctor for her 15 month check up, of course she got shots! Boo my least favorite part of this whole thing. But I had lots of questions for Dr. P this time.

My little Princess has finally gotten down to 2 bottles of formula a day morning and night. She drinks milk and water throughout the day which is great and only took one weekend to witch to milk, but of course of the Princess' time. She is eating a little better every day but she still refuses to eat baby food and pretty much anything that she can not feed herself. I have bought frozen veggies and fruit in small bite sizes and so far they have not gone over well. Of course she like her Mama loves carbs so it's not hard to get her to eat bread, pasta, and mashed potatoes.

We have still been having a tough time switching her to sippie cups because she will drink her water out of it but milk and formula must come from a bottle. I know it will come but it is coming slowly. The good news is that she has always been a Ninny girl and it was great, but she never used it all the time mostly at night or when she was frustrated. For the most part now Ninny is out of the picture, we rarely use it to sleep and that is about the only time. Every now and then you will see her trying to give it to Elmo or her baby doll, so cute.

Oh and on the doll front she has become quite attached to them. She has 2 baby dolls and now we must take atleast one with us every where we go. She carries them just like we carry her, she puts them to go "nighnight", and trys to give them water from her sippie cup (she even makes the sound of them drinking). Working on video for that.

By Olivia's age it is said in the books that they should know at least 20 words. Well, I think we have surpassed that goal. Her vocabulary is larger then any other child her age that I know. She will repeat any word that you say for the most part and the scary thing is that she actually knows what almost all of them are or mean. I think much of it comes from the fact that the girl loves books! She will sit and flip through any book weather its hers or a manuel to something. She will act as if she is reading each and every page. Who knows maybe she is! :) I love that she has been like this since she was really little, she nows comes up to us with a book and will back into our lap and wait for you to read it to her. Now she's not perfect much of the time she is flipping to the next page before I have even finished the first, but I have read them so many times that I can spout them from memory.

Fun with Friends

In the last few days Olivia has spent a lot of time with her friends and it has been so nice. She doesn't normally get to be around other kids her own age (which is why we have been looking into day care/schools for her).

Saturday we headed off to spend the afternoon at Sea World with the Baker's and the Rose's. No we aren't crazy being outside in this heat. We actually spent lots of time enjoying the indoor shows and aquariums. Olivia even got to spend some time in the kids splash park, which was a big first for her and Daddy. Yes, Daddy ended up completely wet! It was very cute. Olivia, Caitlin, Leah, and Evan had such a great time checking out the Artic animals and staying cool.

Tuesday night we headed to dinner at Myles and Butchie's house with the Crofoot Clan. Olivia got to hang out with Coleson and Brinkley for a little while before it was there bed time. Of course Olivia would not go to bed while we were there she is just to nosey and has to know everything that is going on.

Once all was settled as Kelsey was holding Coleson and I was holding Olivia, she actually reached over and held Coleson's hand. It was the cutest thing and something I'm sure Daddy would not be thrilled to know. She is such a flirt with boys of all ages! Then she was learning to share her baby doll and bear bear with Brinkley as much to her dismay and when she had enough of that she went off to the corner with the fish and hid from her. She has such a personality, Miss Priss!

Home Spa Morning

Saturday morning I had lots to accomplish before we headed out for our day, so while we watched some cartoons in bed I decided to multitask and paint my nails. Olivia was very interested in what I was doing and kept putting her feet up wanting me to do her toes too! She crawled in my lap for our first attempt, but she kept trying to touch them. She did get nail polish all over her hands and it was Daddy to the rescue.

Matching Toes

She kept looking at them and saying Pretty

She sat next to me while I did another coat on my nails and then stuck her feet in my view again. This time I made her sit with Daddy so he could control her hands. I got one foot done and she sat there cutely (yup I made it up) blowing them dry. Once that foot was dry we did the other foot and continued to blow on those.

It was so much fun I can't wait to spend our Mommy/Daughter Spa Day's at an actual spa with someone else doing our toes. It will be so much fun, I love having my little Olivia.

Don't Judge

I know how it sounds but this song makes me think of Olivia.

Good old Aunt Jamie used this song to entertain Olivia while she would be in the car. Over the last 5 month's Olivia has fallen in love with the beat and has even learned to sing along. Well, sort of she can say Baby to it and in the right spots even.

If it comes on in the car she starts bopping in her seat and her hands start going. Its the cutest site to see. Yes, I know it is explicit but she has no idea what they are saying and I can't even understand half of what she is saying. Until she figures it out I think we will just let her enjoy it.

July Is Over

It's incredible how fast this year has gone by and we are quickly approaching the Holiday Season, no I  don't think this way but as I make my way through stores such as Hobby Lobby they already have Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas decorations up. Umm am I the only one who thinks July is too early for this? I am still enjoying the blistering heat of summer. Ok so the weather may be boarder line unbearable but I am just not ready for the holiday's yet, even though I love that time of year. It's like they are wishing away the warm sunny days that were made perfect for sand, swimming, and sun bathing. Ahh, the amazingness that is living within 30 minuets of the beach.

But I digress, we have had a very busy weekend around here I actually worked Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights at my parent's wine bar (Cristiano's). It was so busy, which is always nice and even though I haven't worked in a while I didn't do to badly. Olivia came Friday night and stayed for about an hour and got a cooking lesson for Papa. She sat just like a big girl in her high chair for almost 20 minutes munching on a piece of bread watching Papa make some meals.

Cooking Lessons with Papa

Saturday Ben went to Gainsville/Ocala to help his sister move into her new apartment. So with all the extra working going on we didn't have much time for anything else. I got a few things done around the house like cleaning, 2 more projects got checked off and we joined Nana, Grandpa, Aunt Vicky, and Uncle DJ for dinner Sunday night. All in all it was a productive weekend but very exhausting. I think we are both looking forward to a calm night at home and an early bedtime tonight.

Sunday Fun at home!

The shelf used to be black and I just thought it was boring.
I bought the initial for $3 at Hob Lob and made it prettier.
