1 Month Doctor's Appointment

Olivia had her 1 month appointment on Thursday and my how she has grown. She now weighs 9lbs and measures 20 1/2 inches. She is in 50 percentile for height and weight. Ben and I were less then excited to witness her Hepatitis B shots. She really didn't like that, but she only cried for a moment and once she was handed to Ben she stopped. Her leg must have really bothered her though because the rest of the day when she was awake she was crying. My poor baby who is usually super happy was in pain.

Her next appointment is July 26 and I can't believe that she will be 2 months old!

First Father's Day

Ben's First Father's Day!

Ben was so excited for his first Father's Day! Olivia and I cahooted with his brother DJ to get him a day out to have some fun. So Saturday I took and dropped them both off at the Wakiwa State Park to do some canoeing and drinking for the day. He had a great time on the rope swing they found half way down the river. Thankfully they both came back in one piece minus a few bites and scrapes.

Ready to go canoeing!

On Sunday we went to my parents house for breakfast, so that my dad could enjoy his granddaughter for a few hours before heading in to open the bar. Of course they spent it watching Italy play in the world cup. Olivia really enjoys the horns that they blow at the game. It was a nice relaxing morning and then we were headed to Ben's parent's to have dinner. Dave (Ben's dad) was in Israel but there were 6 dogs to take his place. We just spent time cooking out and hanging out with the family.

Three of the 6 dogs!

So since Dave wasn't here for Father's Day we decided that we would celebrate when he got home. We had a lovely dinner at PF Changs and got to hear all about Israel. I guess we can call it Father's Day Week.

Olivia's 4 Weeks Old

I can't believe that Olivia is now 4 weeks old, it seems like just yesterday Ben and I had been heading to the hospital. In just 4 short weeks she has changed so much. She is developing at an amazing speed, she has been able to hold her head up on her own since the day we left the hospital. She keeps it up just a little longer every day. She can even stand up with just a little bit of support. She has found her hands and is now learning to grab onto things and put them in her mouth. Olivia already can roll over on to her side and she has almost made it the whole way over. I think she will be crawling fairly soon.

Holding her head up at the hospital! So strong already.

Its so cute that when she hears people talking she tries to look around and find them. She knows her Mommy and Daddy's voice, when we talk she stops and try's to find us. It is so amazing to see how she is changing from day to day.

Bath time is wonderful, she really likes being in her little tub. As long as she isn't cold she just lays there and seems very relaxed. We are hoping that she is going to be a little water baby.

Cute baby tushy!

Grandparents Weekend

Olivia got to spend some quality time with each of her grandparents over the weekend. Saturday we took her and Oakley over to Ben's parents house, I think Oakley was the most excited to be with Tigger and Stitch. While the boys were playing outside Olivia was hanging out inside with Nana and Papa! Their dog Stitch has taken a backseat to Olivia when she is around and he is not that happy about it. However, he did give her a kiss, I think she is growing on him.

We even got to go to Chili's for the first time since I had Olivia and that means MARGARITA'S! My little Princess slept the entire time and Nana and I got to enjoy our Margarita's. No Ben and Papa did not partake in the drinking. What a lovely Saturday.

On Sunday Ben decided that he was going to cut down all the dead trees in the backyard and then it was off to my parents house. Grandpa was so excited to see her and so was Stella. Olivia started crying and Stella was so worried and was trying to get close enough to make her feel better.  Once she felt better, she got to watch 101 Dalmation's with GiGi.

We headed to Cristiano's for an early dinner and Olivia got to meet Frank and Kate for the first time. Olivia seems to really enjoy going to the bar and helping Grandpa in the kitchen. Yup, Dad takes her right in there. I think this will be her first job, I bet she will make great tips.

Well, we had another great weekend, I am really enjoying my weekends off!!!

Miss Popular

Olivia and I were very busy this past week, with many little outings planned to get us out of the house.

Tuesday was my first outing without Ben and it was a bit trying. I had everything ready, so I put her in her car seat and she started screaming like I tried to kill her. I felt so bad, what had I done...pinched her or squished her? I think I was more distraught then she was. So I pulled her back out and tried to comfort her and once she was calm it was time to try again. Olivia was not having it, but since my car was running I went with it and just put her in the car. She pretty much screamed the whole way to Mommom's house. Upon our arrival, Mommom was waiting outside for us. Thank heavens maybe she would calm down now. Grande took her out of the car seat and cheered her right up. After a quick diaper change and a bottle we were ready to head to the mall. Poor little Olivia was up almost the whole day and was very cranky. She was not liking her experience at the mall, it was time to head home.

It was an eventful day and an even more eventful evening. It was time for her first bath in her spa tub, what we thought would be a miserable experience after her reaction to getting a bath in the sink. Her bath time actually was very peaceful. Olivia seemed to really enjoy being in the water, even getting her hair washed was nice. Yea...she likes the water.

Hanging out after Olivia's bath...she is exhausted.

Friday was another very busy day for Olivia and I. We started out really well, she slept while I was able to get ready. It didn't take long to get us all set and headed out to our first lunch date with our BFF's Jenni and Caitlin. Millenia here we come!!! Walking in was like walking in to heaven, Olivia had a huge smile on her face like she knew where she was. Thankfully we came early so we could do a little shopping before lunch.

Olivia and Caitlin on their first lunch date.

Well, Miss Olivia slept through our entire lunch and woke up very hungry as soon as we got in the car to head home. I guess I won't make it to the house so it's off to Ben's office. A little quality time with dad. Ben was excited to get to show her off and let her lay on his desk for awhile before we had to head home, well with a stop at Jamie's first.

Friday night was a very special outing, our "sister" Mandie was celebrating her 21st birthday at our favorite place...KOBE's!!! It would be Olivia's first time there and she slept the whole time, even through the banging of the gong. What a great night it was!

Memorial Day Weekend

There wasn't much going on Memorial Day weekend, we just hung out with little Olivia. Kristen and James came to visit on Saturday and we had our first outing. The five of us went to Olive Garden for lunch, Olivia spent it covered in her car seat so that no one would breathe on her. However, she did really well and only fussed for a few minutes. Then since it decided to rain the rest of the day we watched the Hangover.

Saturday night was not so relaxing, Olivia decided that she did not want to go to sleep. She spent 4 hours crying until I decided that I had enough and began packing to take her to my parents. When I was already to leave she decided that it was time to sleep. Ben took her and I went to sleep. Sunday morning we went to my parents house to hang out for a little while. It was a very restful day, I even got a nap.

Hanging out with GiGi and Stella.

Memorial day we decided to have a cookout at the house and just hang out with some friends and family. Ben even surprised me with a swing for the backyard. Olivia and I really enjoyed spending a little bit of time in our new swing.

Thank you Cassandra. The pictures are more then we ever hoped for. Your work is amazing!

Our First Week Home!

Well, we have now been home for a week and Ben has gone back to work today. It has been an adjustment having Olivia here, but it is amazing. She still has her nights and days a bit confused, so we are learning to change our schedule. I now have no time for me, trying to make time to shower and get dressed is hard. Luckily, she loves her swing that Aunt Vicky bought her and spends so much time in it.

morning home!

Oakley has been so protective over his new little sister. Anytime someone other then Ben or I have her, he is right there checking them out to make sure they are ok. If we keep Olivia's door open he will go in there and go to sleep. If she makes any noise he comes over to check on her. It's as if she is his baby. It's very sweet.

Making sure that she is ok!

Thursday after we were home Olivia had her first Doctors appointment. She was so good the nurses were surprised that there was a newborn in the building. She gained one ounce since bringing her home, she was 7lbs 7ozs and is 19 inches long. We have another appointment this Thursday, luckily no shots till the one month appointment. After her appointment we ran to Target and that was the first time I was out of the house since we came home. I was so worried that we had her covered in her car seat in the stroller. She slept the whole time, such a great baby.
