All About Jamie Day

Birthday Girl

Sunday brought Jamie's Birthday Celebration, which we have dubbed "All About Jamie Day". We began with food at our parents house, where everyone came to meet and hang out. It was great and the rain held off all day, just the look of menacing clouds. Unfortunately it dampen the idea of our a slip n' slide.

Beautiful decorations that Mom and I worked on.

After fun times at the house it was off to the bar to continue the party. Our Bar "Family" were all there and dad hired entertainment to sing out on the patio. It turned out to be a huge success and everyone had a great time. Jamie had her choice of personalized wine glasses to drink out of and even received a beautiful fruit arrangement from Marianne and Harold. Jamie we hope you had a wonderful birthday clebration, Love you amazing family!

Ben's 28th Birthday Surprise and Nana's Stroke of Midnight

Saturday night I managed to plan a special evening just for Ben. I took him to dinner at Hue and it happened to be our first dinner out alone since we had Olivia. Of course we had plenty to talk about and didn't check in with my mom too much.

After dinner I told him that I was not ready to go home and that we should have a drink at one of the bar's and then we could go. So we just happened to go into Stardust where I had our friends and family waiting. We danced all night and laughed about how we didn't know it was a gay club. Already planning our next visit since we had so much fun.

LOVE IT!

TROUBLE

At the stroke midnight it was Darla's Birthday and more reason to party on through the night. It was a double celebration at Stardust, the only thing missing was a cake. But that is ok because drinks are much better and worth the calories. Food for thought when you get to choose the age always choose 21 because it comes with free drinks!

Happy Birthday Darla!

Everyone had a wonderful time and we can't wait to do it again! Thank you everyone for coming. Thank you Mom and Grandmom for watching Olivia and allowing us to get out and have fun.

Poppy and Grande's Birthday Dinner

Last Monday we celebrated 2 birthday's, Poppy and Grande. What a way to celebrate, helping us move into our new place followed by take out from the Cheesecake Factory. We may not have been all able to be around the dinner table but that is what makes family dinner's at my place so much fun.

Grande turned 80 years old and you would never know it. My grandmother has so much spunk and spirit that I would swear she was only 21. Now if only we could get her to go drinking with us every now and then.

Happy Birthday, we love you so much!

Nana's Special Dinner

Last night we were invited to a private dinner by Roger, Darla's old boss. We were there to celebrate her and her ex-coworker Andy's new jobs. As you may know Darla began a new job as CIO with Sea World a few month's back and Andy is now working with Nascar (obviously making the Morse Boys very happy). If I am correct Roger played a part in these two finding the jobs they now love.

Darla and Roger our Host

It was such a lovely evening and several of their old co-worker's were there as well. At the end everyone at the table was given a chance to say something to each of them, and when it came to Allen he took the comedic route. It was awesome to hear what everyone had to say. We are all very proud of Darla's accomplishment's and know that there is only up to go from here.

Allen our comedic relief!

It was a beautiful night and we were lucky to be included in such a celebration. This is just a start to the busy weekend that lies ahead.

3 Month's

3 Month's Old

I feel like I have blinked and our little angel is now 3 month's old. I do not want to close my eyes again! She is changing so rapidly, I can't believe it. We have had a big month, she is vocalizing so much. She will have whole conversations with you, you may not understand it, but she sure does like to talk (she takes after her mama). She is getting many sounds down and putting them together. It sounds like she is saying words, like "yeah" and "hi", I swear the other day it sounded like she said "daddy". Once she starts talking I don't think we will ever shut her up.

She loves her doggy mat!

Olivia has gotten such a personality, when she gets tired and you are holding her she now turns herself so that her head is buried in the crook of your arm where it's dark. It is the cutest thing. She even tries to pull things over her eyes to block out the light.

Loveing Linus' Feet!

Rings in the mouth.

Just recently she has been rolling from side to side and is getting so close to rolling over completely. Within this week she will be rolling over as soon as she figures out how to get her arm out of the way. She is also finding her hands and everything she is learning to grab is going into her mouth. It is amazing how fast she has learned these things. Olivia is so content that if you put her on her play mat or just lay her on the floor, she will just lay there and entertain herself.

We are so proud of her. One day she will be running around the house chasing Oakley and trying to ride him. We can't wait for the fun what lies around the corner.

Olivia loves her lamby that Mommy bought her.

Speckled Egg

Well, we found a house and have finally moved in. It entailed much more then moving boxes this time, we practically painted the entire inside of the house and in only 2 days. Of course we managed but only because of our amazing family and friends who were there to help us. Kristen and James spent most of their Saturday there painting and then Sunday there were back along with Dave, Allen, and John. Thank goodness for the boys moving everything. Dave did a great job entertaining us and lovingly picking on Kristen...his favorite past time!

Good Bye hideous red wall.

It looks like a brand new house and all it took was some paint and new outlet covers. Who puts gold outlet covers in their house? EWE! I can't wait to have all the boxes gone, new furniture, and a glass of wine to enjoy it all. I will put up more pictures as we complete each room.

Beach Bums

We have been so lucky this summer to be able to spend time with our family's. This time we were at New Semerna Beach for a week. Only poor Ben couldn't stay the whole week but he did get a few days out there with us. It was a celebration for Grandmom's 80th birthday and friends who came down to vacation with us.

My Family

Mommy and her girl's.

Joanie and Elyce came in Friday night to join us in NSB. It was a gorgeous day on the beach Sunday and the water was so clear. In the late afternoon we put Olivia's swimsuit on and took her down to the beach for just a few minutes. Not that I thought otherwise but she loved the water. She was stomping in the water and played with her little toes in the water.

It was then off to dinner at Garlic to celebrate Grandmom's Birthday and it was delicious. They gave us a lovely table outside under the canopy of trees and twinkle lights. We had many nights of home cooked meals and UNO games. We even were able to get out to Daytona and visit the boardwalk one night. It was convenient that there was a Cold Stone there.

The Daytona Boardwalk.

Ben took advantage of being out there and kayaked and fished a bit. He caught a crab and a Lady Fish, although he was trying for shark. I think he just enjoys being able to get out there and do it.

What an amazing week with my family and blessed with beautiful weather the entire time. As the summer comes to an end we only get busier with MANY birthday's, anniversary trip, and a visit to Baltimore.
